Candidate must have experience and/or knowledge of tool and die making principles and practices, along with the ability to run shop equipment. The primary function of this position is to plan, lay out and perform machining operations, to alter and repair tools, fixtures and equipment. This will also include running mills, metal lathes, drill presses, saws and grinders. This will involve the use of blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions. Quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy is critical. The position will also require good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to focus on safety at all times. The candidate must have the ability to run milling machines, metal lathes, drill presses and saws accurately and safely, along with use of a forklift. Tools required: toolbox, measuring tools including micrometers up to 3.00", dial calipers, dial indicator, precision square, combination square and basic mechanical tools.
The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing the day-to-day preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting necessary to maintain the facility and manufacturing equipment. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. This position requires second shift availability.
Experience required: a general knowledge of bodywork on both metal and fiberglass, along with paint application, finish sanding and buffing. Perform a wide range of repair work on all years and models of Winnebago motorhomes. Document all work performed on work orders and review the repairs made with the Winnebago customer. Emphasis for this job will be placed on paint and body repairs. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, along with basic repair tools and a toolbox. Candidates with a 2-year degree in a related field will be given special consideration.
Besides building great RVs, Winnebago is always looking for good people who want the chance to build a great career at a great company. We are currently looking for new employees to start work in our North Iowa facilities. Locations include Forest City, Charles City, Lake Mills, and Waverly.
The preferred candidate must understand 12-volt DC and 120 volt AC systems installed in a motor home and be capable of diagnosing problems within these systems. A general knowledge of motorhome construction and repair processes would also be helpful. Emphasis for this job duty will be placed on performing electrical repairs. The preferred candidate will have the capability of installing or replacing solar panels, dash radios, rear and side view cameras, sound systems, matrix and TV systems. Must be able to diagnose problems within energy management systems, automatic transfer systems, Firefly systems, and distribution panels. Have the ability to perform 12-volt battery testing. Some modifications to repairs may be required if original parts are no longer available. All work will be documented on work orders. There will be occasions where repairs will need to be viewed with the motor home customer. The preferred candidate must be self-motivated with good communication and planning skills. Must have a valid driver's license, basic repair tools, and a tool box. Be capable of operating a VOM and ammeter and have these testing devices available. The selected candidate will instantly start down the career path of becoming a RV Technician. We will provide the necessary training to make it happen.
We are currently looking for welders to start work at our Forest City Plant who can become certified to weld either mild steel or aluminum component parts in the production of our motor homes.
